Why Inspect?

A quality surprise at the destination port is expensive

You can't inspect quality into a product after it's shipped. Our inspections catch issues when they're cheap to fix — during production and before the container leaves the factory.

Every inspection follows AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling standards, with detailed photo and video reports delivered within 24 hours. You get the data you need to make a ship/hold decision — not a vague "passed" or "failed."

Inspection Types

Three inspection stages, one rigorous standard

Most clients combine all three for full coverage. Pick what fits your risk profile and production stage.

Pre-Production Inspection (PPI)

Check raw materials, components, and first articles before mass production begins. Catch material mismatches and spec deviations early.

During Production Inspection (DPI)

Inspect at 20–40% completion. Identify systemic quality issues while there's still time to correct them without scrapping completed units.

Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)

The final gate. AQL sampling at 80%+ completion. Full assessment of quantity, workmanship, packaging, labeling, and compliance marks.

PSI Checklist

What we check in a pre-shipment inspection

A standard PSI covers these areas. Customize the checklist for your product and quality priorities.

Quantity & Packing

  • Total quantity verification against PO
  • Carton quantity, packing method, and protection
  • Shipping mark, carton label, and barcodes
  • Palletization and container loading supervision (optional)

Workmanship & Spec

  • AQL sampling across all inspected cartons
  • Visual defects: scratches, dents, stains, assymetry
  • Functional testing: buttons, switches, mechanisms
  • Measurement check: dimensions, weight, tolerance

Compliance & Safety

  • Labeling: care labels, warning labels, age grading
  • Compliance marks: CE, FCC, UL, ASTM, EN 71
  • Smpl Testing: color fastness, tensile strength (if required)
  • Manual & insert review (language, accuracy)

Report & Decision

  • 24-hour detailed report with photos and videos
  • Pass / Fail / Conditional Pass recommendation

AQL Standard

What is AQL and why we use it

AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) is the industry standard for inspection sampling. Here's what you need to know.

AQL defines the maximum number of defective items acceptable in a production lot. We use AQL 2.5 for major defects and AQL 4.0 for minor defects — aligned with ISO 2859-1 and MIL-STD-105E standards.

  • Major defect: AQL 2.5 — product is functional but has a significant quality issue (e.g. loose stitching, discoloration)
  • Minor defect: AQL 4.0 — small aesthetic issue that doesn't affect function (e.g. minor scratch on non-visible part)
  • Critical defect: 0 allowed — safety hazard, non-compliance with regulations

Not sure what AQL level fits your product? We'll recommend the right standard based on your market and product category.
